Paintings for People
In a world that is increasingly more digital and AI generated, the value in art lies in the artist’s hand. In order to survive an excruciatingly fast world, I have found slow art, and found myself more enamoured by physical painting. I gain so much from the act of painting. It is the thing I can lose myself in. It holds my heart, and feels more like a home to me than anything else. Sharing my paintings is sharing a piece of myself, and it is a privilege to be seen through my creation.
I think that there is something about an original painting that cannot be replicated in any other way - not in a scan or photo, a digital print, an instagram post, digital work, or otherwise. It comes from the weight of the piece in your hand, the physicality of the paint, each intentional brushstroke, and the complexity of the colors. Each of these attributes is its own thought and intention. It is as if the artist breathes a breath of life to the painting while pouring out their soul to creation. It is my hope that everyone is able to own original art which speaks to them, and that they are thus able to experience this unique marvel. In this hope to make original art accessible to a wider variety of people, I have started my Paintings for People project.
Paintings for People aims to make original art available to normal and non-wealthy individuals, by making miniature paintings which are able to be priced affordably. The bulk of these paintings are priced under one hundred dollars, with prices changing to reflect each individual piece. Paintings are available for purchase on this site, as well as through an expanding selection of retail locations. I hope you will explore what I have to offer, as well as consider buying art from other human artists who I share this space of creation with.
